Hola Amigos!! This week was another good one!! Still a little bit sick, but I am getting better, finally!! Sooo here's a funny story that I slightly feel bad about, only slightly. There's an Hermana in my district who has more energy than anyone I have ever met, she's super funny. Last week, we were in class and I honestly don't have any idea of how this came up in conversation, but long story short, I said something like, "If you had to be a Disney Character, I think you would be Dory." And to my surprise she responded, "ARE YOU ACTUALLY KIDDING ME?? IT FOLLOWED ME TO THE MTC!!!??" And I was so confused, but I guess throughout highschool, all of her friends had a joke about her being like the fish Dory, from Finding Nemo, and she never understood why it was a thing. Well she was laughing so hard, and i guess she talked about that in her group email last week, because we were at dinner earlier this week and she opened up a package with a hidde...

This week was pretty great!! Before I left, my dad described a mission as really long days but short weeks, and boy this week was a testament to that!  I woke up monday with a fever, and turns out everyone at the MTC is sick, so that's super fun, hopefully soon i'll have a voice again!! So I've been here three weeks now, which is crazy!!! We had our first full Spanish TRC's this week, which is where we have to teach, or uhhh get to teach..., someone four different lessons all in Spanish, for 25 minutes straight!! We did our first two on Wednesday and Thursday, and Wednesday didn't go too well, but I really felt like Thursday was awesome!! The problem was however... we were teaching the lesson, it was going amazing, we'd invited her to read 1st Nephi, and at the end i'm bearing my testimony, and was killing it! The Spirit was so strong!!!! At the end of my testimony what i was trying to say was, "And i know God loves me and you very much!"...

Hola mis amigos!  It's been a long week, but nonetheless a great one!!  General Conference was seriously amazing! My favorite talks were by Elder Uchtdorf and Elder Johnson! And no, Uchtdorf's talk having the topic of Bilbo Baggin's adventure in the Hobbit was not the only reason I liked it believe it or not. I really liked so many of the things they said. I loved the quote from Uchtdorf saying, "Never forget that we chose to be here on Earth." and, "God loves me when I struggle and when I triumph!" Elder Johnson had all the missionaries pumped up and ready to convert after his talk! As a missionary something that he said really caught my ear, "The adversary will use deception, distractions, and discouragement to ruin your divine potential." I have found that it's not hard to get discouraged when I am practicing and learning Spanish, so it was kind of a reminder that The Lord will help me, and Satan truly is doing everything he can to d...

Hola mis amigos! ¿Comó le va? My P-day is Saturday for the next 5 weeks, however as a result of general conference being today, I don't have a lot of time to talk.  The MTC is both super awesome and super hard!! Everyone told me learning a language is hard, but no one told me justtttt how accurate that statement was!  Mi compaño is Elder Van Wagenen, he's pretty cool and we get along well, however he is VERY patriotic, so a few people in our district have learned not to discuss politics with him... The food has been fairly good, definitely missing mi Madre's cinnamon rolls!!! So here's a funny story..  The first night here, none of us in our room could sleep at all, it was FREEZING!!! Literally so cold!!! So the next day we decided we has to cover the AC vent, luckily Elder Van Wagenen had his American flag duct tape! With that and my towell we covered the vent up!!!! Only for the air flow to make it come off an hour later...  Giving up in defeat...
