Week 9 -- Dec. 12, 2019
TENGO DOS MESES EN MI MISIÓN!
Hola Amigos!!!
This was another great week here in beautiful España!! Also today marks 2 months here in my mission!!! I have loved it so much and pretty much never want to leave! It's crazy how fast time flies when you're having fun/super busy/getting doors shut in your face!
We have a bunch of new people here who are interested in learning about the gospel! We have a couple amigos who are looking really promising, they are absolutely loving the Book of Mormon!!
We have met with this couple a few times, they're super nice people and super humble! I found out that they were living on the streets for 6 months before a member took them under his wing. We invited them to read 3 Nephi 11, and testified of the love that our Savior has for us, and the next time we met they were so excited and came with sky many great questions!!! It's just amazing because, in their lives, the gospel truly is everything they needed, and I love how it can fill the holes in our lives. Honestly makes me so happy, that right there is the reason I am here. The Book of Mormon brings so much happiness and joy into my life and I absolutely love seeing the joy it can bring into other's lives

What else happened this week? Our shower finally got fixed!!!! So now we can shower without flooding our floor!!!!! My whole time here, everyone has been telling me I need to try Kebab, which is similar to a gyro. The best place to get kebab in San Sebastián happens to be right by our piso so I finally tried it this week, and I can now agree with everyone else, that it is AMAZINGGG!!! It took forever to get our food, because it was so crazy packed! But it was delicious! It's super fun because the workers are 4 muslims who are the nicest and funniest guys on the planet!!! I guess its missionary tradition to be best friends with them because they absolutely love all the missionaries and can tell you the name of missionaries from 3 years ago!!! Super fun guys!!!
Thanksgiving definitely didn't feel like Thanksgiving, Haha it was filled with tons of appointments which was good!!! I got to call my family which is always awesome! And the Hermanas made us sweet potatoes, which were super delicious!!! Made my whole day!
Today we have a big zone party thing in Bilbao, which is a city about 1.5 hours South, and interviews with the mission President, so that should be fun! My district loves to dance and so we have prepared a dance to perform in front of everyone tonight. Yayyy, if you know me, you know I just love to dance..
Lights are starting to pop up more and more around the city, and I couldn't be happier!!! I absolutely love Christmas!!! Having everyone around you focus on the Savior?? Nothing better than that!!! All of you should go to comeuntochrist.org and learn more about Light the World for this year!!! Its one of my favorite things that the church does! And another reminder to watch, "The Christ Child " it's amazing. And then read about it, its interesting what they did to make it perfectly historically accurate!!!
Quick scripture of the week, super super simple but super profound if you really think about it. Read 1 Nephi 15, focus on verse 8. Sometimes I feel like we know so much about what we need to do, but really forget how simple it is, we have it played out pretty clear how to help our problems:)
Love you all!!!! Have a fantastic week!!

Pictures!!! (I have no idea which cool building Kyle is referencing in these, so I'm guessing which pics go where.)
1. Super cool building, I think it's a music school or something!
2. Pretty much the coolest thing to be able to see buildings like this literally all over the place!
3. Pretty pretty
4. We found a pack of bacon in our fridge that expired in a few days, and elder Toro doesn't like bacon, so yes I ate an entire package of bacon on a sandwich. Don't judge me.
5. The coolest building in San Sebastián
6. After hearing from everyone that I would only be eating seafood in Spain, I finally got to eat some seafood
