I Shaved My Head

Hey hey everyone!!!

Wow, this week has gone by SUPER fast, I feel like just two days ago, I was writing my last group email!!
Quarantine is starting to be pretty repetitive and each day just merges with another, and before you know it, you've been inside for 86 days without having talked to another person face to face!

This really is such a crazy crazy time we are living in right now! I truly hope you are all writing in your journals. Something interesting I have found through my study of the Book of Mormon while on my mission is just how many times the importance of keeping a record of what is happening is! There are so many mentions of that throughout it. As well as most of the information we know about the early saints and pioneers is because of the well-written journals they've kept!! Clearly it is something that has real, true importance! So yeah, I'd invite you, if you haven't already, get out your journal and favorite pen, and just write!!! Write everything, how hard it has been, what is so different,  the blessings you have seen, when you think it'll be normal! Everything!! Now on that note, I should probably go write in my journal seeing that I'm 5 days behind...🀦🏻‍♂️πŸ˜‚

As a mission, we watched, "Hidden Figures" this week! I was pretty surprised, considering it's not a church-related movie! I'd seen it before, but it was definitely a different experience this time.
The movie is about 3 African-American women working for NASA to help win the Space-Race. I kept thinking, "Wow how could someone treat someone so horribly??" And it also occurred to me that a lot of what I was watching hasn't disappeared, and feels all too real in our world today. I'm not going to create a political debate about any of this, but we had an amazing discussion as a mission through Zoom afterwards and really talked about all the prejudice in the world. Our Mission President posed the question, "why do you think this is a trial that seems so difficult to erase?" After a while of thinking, a cool thought came to me. What is the absolutely most important thing about any of us? The reason any of us are here on Earth at all? It's because we are children of Heavenly Parents, and are one family. And with that comes the divine potential that we all have. What is the one thing that Satan does not have, the thing that gives you complete power over him? It's a body, which literally damns his eternal progression,  he does not have the divine potential we all carry. Because he wants to make us all as miserable as him, he wants to make us forget or ignore the one thing he can't have, our divine potential. As we continue to separate ourselves from God's children and put hate on ANY group of people,  we are helping Satan cloud their Divine Potential. How common is low self-confidence in the world right now? Of course that's from Satan,  we don't know our own power, WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD!!!!!
Let's never ever forget that, and do everything we can to help EVERYONE, every race, gender, religion, class, job, EVERYONE, remember that they have Divine Potential and we are all brothers and sisters in a celestial family!

In other exciting news, my companion talked me into shaving my headπŸ€™
It's hot at night without AC, no one is going to see me as we are in quarantine, I'm not looking to attract any chicas here, and most importantly, gotta save a few euros on shampoo!! So I decided, what better time in my life??

Os quiero😁♥️
