Week 46 -- August 24, 2020

This is a Good One

Soo hey everyone, this week has literally been sooo crazy!!! In an amazing way!!!

I'll start off with some crazy crazy news!! So transfers are tomorrow, and the Saturday before transfers is when President calls you If you are getting transferred. And I have only been here in Girona for 1 transfer, and my companion and I are killing it, so I thought for sure we were both staying, but if one was leaving, it'd be him cuz he has more time here.
Well yeah, President really threw that reverse card at us.
"Elder Boden, can you call me?"
Me: ugh dang it Elder Gomes, you're leaving!!
President: Hey Elder Boden! How are you?! How are you liking Girona??
Me: Ahh President, I love it here, it's incredible!!!
President: Ahhhh well I'm sorry then..
Me: uh wait what
President: You're getting transferred...
Me: uhhhhh ummm whattt???
President: ... to the office! You're the new secretary for the mission!!!
Me: *completely shocked*
My companion: "I KNEW IT AHAHAHA!!!"

So I'm going to Barcelona ahahah I was so shocked, definitely didn't expect that!!! But I'm pretty excited and a bit nervous ahahahaha! πŸ˜‚
I just now have to deal with all the missionary drama and landlords and cars and all of that stuff. It's gonna be an insane amount of work and a great opportunity to learn and grow closer to President Galli!!

In some other incredible news, we had TWO baptisms this weekend!! If you guys remember the miracle I shared a few weeks ago of Anahi, the little girl who was ready to be baptized, but got insanely insanely sick two days before, well she really did miraculously heal perfectly, and her dad was able to baptize her! I can't even begin to tell you the extent Satan went to to prevent this baptism. But I'll tell you an amazing miracle! We were struggling to find a place to be able to do the baptism. We couldn't find anywhere that would work. President calls us at like 10 p.m. to tell us that literally in that moment as we were scrambling and talking to a million members trying to find some possibility, the government of Catalunya allowed us to do baptisms in the church for the first time since March!!! It was an amazing blessing, wow!!!

Today we also had the chance to baptize an amazing woman named Casilda, who's been looking into the church for over 20 years!!! She got baptized on a beautiful beach! Again, there was so much opposition, but through lots of endurance, God won, we helped add two more warriors to His army πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

It was a really good week, and I'm currently on my way to Barcelona, wish me luck!! Send prayers ahah!!! Love you all so much!! God is Good😁
