Week 87 -- June 17, 2021

Back in the Office

 Hellllloooooo everyone!!

Wow I have some CRAZYYYYY NEWS!

A lot has happened this past week, like A LOT!πŸ˜…πŸ˜±

On Saturday morning, my companion and I were just sitting down to plan our day when we the the dreaded "Me puede llamar por favor?" (Can you please call me?) Text from our Mission President. I had only two transfers in Lleida, and therefore expected to probably stay one more. Welllllllll President definitely threw a big surprise my way. He said, Elder Boden, I know you already were in the office for five transfers,,,, buttttt we are going to be getting a ridiculous amount of new missionaries very soon (FINALLY!!!! We are so ridiculously small, many companionships are currently covering what used to be entire zones of missionaries) and it will be an absolute mess trying to get the residency done for all of them, so you will need to come back here and train the new Residency/housing/technology Secretary to help out with this! Well if that wasn't big enough news already, he then followed up with, "And I know it will be a lot of work, so your new companion Elder Jacob's will be able to help you handle training the new Secretary while having your new assignment as Assistant to the Mission President!" πŸ˜±
Soooooo yeah! I am now back in Barcelona in my same apartment! I am helping with the residency process while also working with my Companion and our Mission President with all of the craziness that consists of the Preperation for our new Mission President who comes in 11 days!!
I am really excited, Elder Jacobs is awesome and I'm excited to participate so closely in such a CRAZY time in the mission as I am nearing my end here!!

Here's a low from the week. πŸ™ƒ While getting everything ready for the final dinner with the missionaries going home, I happened to spill a pan of chicken meant to feed 20 all over my suit. πŸ™ƒ It ended up okay though🀣

NOW GET READY FOR A MIRACLE!!! While in the office earlier, I spent 7 and a half months teaching a lady named Mari. She is absolutely amazing, but had so many doubts. Welllll a few weeks ago the Elders here told me that she had recieved her own confirmation from God that she needed to be baptized and help her family on the other side of the veil!! That was absolutely amazing to hear!😁 She was set on a date in August, but last week, felt like she was ready and wanted to do it sooner than later! The absolutely amazing thing is that Elder Neuberger, one of my companions who was with me in the office, went home on Tuesday and so he was in Barcelona already on his way home. I came to Barcelona because it is now my area, And my old companions, Elder Liddicott and Rivas were already here, still in the area! She is an older lady who cannot walk very well so she needed 3 people in the font to help baptize her!! It was amazing to be with my ex companions who I had taught her with for so long and baptize her!
Her testimony was so beautiful afterwards and it brought me to tears!

I love God and am so so very grateful for all of the amazing opportunities that He gives us!❤😁
